What is Metallic paper ?

Metallic Fine Art by Rehahn.jpg

Original photographs in Réhahn’s limited edition series are processed in our photo laboratory in Germany on Fuji Crystal Pearl paper. This metallic paper uses silver halide emulsion technology to give the photograph a pearly sheen, which produces an unbelievable 3D effect. Colors are powerfully projected forward for incredible intensity while maintaining white purity, and image stability. The guaranteed durability of the image for more than 75 years ensures photographs processed on this metallic paper are of gallery quality.

Our laboratory provides a lifetime guarantee for high definition metallic photographs. Tests show that the effects of light on the metallic paper show no notable loss of color for more than 100 years if the work is displayed inside under normal conditions and more than 200 years if it is kept a shaded place, and out of direct sunlight.".
