This collection reveals the daily lives of the Bajau people who reside in small boats and island dwellings, sailing day and night with the currents of the ocean. Nicknamed “Sea Nomads”, the Bajau are dependent on the tempestuous bounty of the sea to earn their living.

The artist’s voyage to meet the Bajau was fraught with difficulties (Discover the article of the Bajau) but when his boat finally reached their location and the Bajau children rushed to greet him with smiles, he knew the trip had been worth it.
